OP
Equinor is actually 67% owned by the Norwegian government, which also manages it.

Russia exports billions of dollars worth of oil and gas to western nations. And all that money serves to bankroll their military, now being used to invade Ukraine.
For all of our claims of wanting to halt Russia's invasion, we're still perfectly content to fund that invasion by buying Russian oil and gas.
Peace in our time. Gas in our cars. That's how history will remember our action - or rather, inaction.

The other 33% of shares are publicly traded.

Hopefully some other nations learn from their example.

BP's departure is a pretty big deal.
