Have the Russkies actually had 4000 troops killed?

That's what Admiral (Ret.) Stradivarius today said looks like what happened. What? We lost half of that in 20 years of war in Afghanistan. 4,400 Americans were killed during 8 1/2 years in Iraq.

I have a feeling that when the Russian and Ukrainians come face to face they don't really want to attack each other.

Most deaths will probably be Shots fired from a distance.

The Russian Army is notoriously cavalier about casualties, have been for centuries. This first week of combat looks a lot like a major clusterfuck. IMHO the number of dead is probably much higher. We certainly can't trust Russian sources on that, and the Admiral was basically spitballing.
