You should just put him on ignore, because he pretty much only posts his own tweets. n/t demmiblue Mar 2022 #7

Certainly, sometimes it is lazy to just put up a Tweet and leave it there without context. Sometimes it can lead to interesting discussion. I don't think it is 100% one thing, or another.

I will say that I typically do not like any kind of post that doesn't have context or at least an "ask". The point of a forum is to have discussion. Whether we agree or not, it is to discuss why we do or don't, not just to leave lazy posts or to grump at each other for doing something we disagree with.

Life, in my opinion, is more interesting when there is robust discussion where people explain themselves and their points of view.

For offering your opinion.

I've watched DU become become less and less of a place that laughs at jokes. Over the past 17 years, I've watched all the fun stuff dry up as the place starches into a humor desert. I blame posts like this.

You're right about the sad state of this forum, but you're completely missing why, and in my humble opinion you are the one contributing to the SAD state of this place, not me.

so if I think a lame tweet has no business on this "forum" then it I who is to blame...I was going to alert on your post because I have sat on Juries that would have locked it but I decided to let it slide... I really don't like it when someone here bashes our President, he gets enough of that from elsewhere. As for your humor, I wouldn't quit the day job. Thank You!

There is a difference in being a strong leader and being a "Strongman". Strong leaders operate from a place of confidence and build consensus for their ideas. They allow differences of opinions and receive input from varying sources but will ultimately make the decision to benefit the most people. Biden is a strong leader not a "strongman". Strongman leaders operate from fear. They seek to impose their will on others despite any evidence that is leveled to guide their decisions. Strongmen are bullies, but usually cowards in character.
