brutal approachThe Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said Russian tactics were "too slow" in Ukraine.
Kadyrov, a Putin loyalist, said Russia's attack was merely "fiddling" with Ukrainian fighters.

A top loyalist of Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that Russia's attack on Ukraine had so far failed and called for a much fiercer onslaught.
Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Russia's Chechen Republic, said in a lengthy Telegram post that the approach in the first days of the war hadn't worked.
"In my understanding, the chosen tactics in Ukraine are too slow," the post said. "They take a long time and, in my opinion, are not effective."
He complained that Russian forces had been only "fiddling" with the Ukrainian army, which he said was "armed to the teeth with new weapons, ammunition, heavy equipment of the latest generation," a reference to Western military aid.

The National Guard of Ukraine has shared a video on its Twitter account that appears to show Azov fighters greasing bullets with pig fat, ostensibly to be used against against Muslim Chechens deployed to their country as Russia steps up its military assault on Ukraine.
Azov, a far-right all-volunteer infantry military unit, are ultra-nationalists who are accused of harbouring neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideology. They first fought alongside the Ukrainian army in the east of the country in 2014 against pro-Russia separatists and have since been incorporated into the regular armed forces.
In the video, which could not be independently verified by Al Jazeera, a man who is purportedly a member of the Azov fighters is seen dipping bullets into what appears to be pig fat as he addresses the Chechen fighters.
He says: Dear Muslim brothers. In our country, you will not go to heaven. You will not be allowed into heaven. Go home, please. Here, you will encounter trouble. Thank you for your attention, goodbye.

Ukraine has claimed it destroyed an elite group of Chechen fighters today that were plotting to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Oleksiy Danilov, Ukraine's Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, said during a televised address today that the unit 'which came to kill our President, was eliminated'.
Earlier today, Ramzan Kadyrov - the strongman leader of Chechnya - said that Chechens have been killed in Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. The unit was sent into Ukraine by Kadyrov, who is a staunch ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

'We are already aware of the special operation that was to be carried out by Kadyrov forces unit,' Danilov said on Ukraine 24 TV channel, The Mirror reported. 'We received the information from representatives of Russia's Federal Security Service who do not want to take part in this bloody war.
