Read up a little on the choice of that flag to represent the Russian Federation after the breakup of the USSR. It represented the best ideals of the Russian people, and I respected that and still do.

Americans who let a malice-bloated orange gasbag drag our reputation into the dungheap for four years are in no position to disrespect someone else's flag just because they're suffering under a demented tyrant.

Moreso when most troops — kids, really — have no idea why they’re in Ukraine.

Putin cares about as much for his people as he does for Ukranians. The effects of this will be devastating for Russian citizens. The fact that many are protesting at their personal risk speaks volumes as well.

My beef is also with Putin and not with the average Russian.
