Not for nuthin' ...

... but I truly detest any alleged news outlets treating a SOTU address like it's a restaurant review, a red-carpet event, and/or an Oscar contender for Best Picture.

I, for one, am not interested in the inevitable critiques of what Joe said, how he said it, how much time he spent on one topic as opposed to another, or what he should have said instead of what HE DID SAY.

I listened to Joe's speech for myself, and I'm good with it. I don't need to hear from media bobble-heads how the appetizer course lacked real punch, or how the script would have had more universal audience appeal with a few re-writes before the cameras rolled.

And spare me the "and now a word from the opposition" comments of GOP operatives whose only role is to regurgitate the same old/same old talking points that they've been unashamedly trying to sell since swilling their own piss became as trendy as shooting-up bleach.

Enough, MSM. Stop pretending that an American President - who told it like it was, how it is, and how it could be - is just another talking-head who is somehow on your anything-for-ratings level.

President Joe Biden IS what our country is all about. Everything else is the bullshit that the what-about-ism crowd is hoping to promote in order to sell something nobody wants - and nobody needs.

I stand with Joe, I stand with Ukraine - and I stand against every fucking idiot who thinks standing up for democracy is a TV show that may or may not be renewed next season, depending on the ratings.

Speaking to our collective best selves, instead of trying to divide us and destabilize our society.

I'm a bit of a talker/writer, and I enjoy threading words together to express my feelings... but you just covered all of what was churning in my mind.

Well said, and I concur. ❤️

I can't stand all the malarkey either. Biden did us proud.
He stood and spoke coherently for over an hour. We are back from the circus show of TFG's addresses.

become propaganda outlets for whoever is in the WH. The response from the other side tends to be no better.
.
It's in the Constitution as protection from a President just taking off and doing whatever with limited accountability and is really no longer needed with rhe 24 hour news and bullshit cycle we now have.

But we have it, and Presidents use it as a recap of their year in power, so we suffer it. Better to have it than not, I suppose.

And I agree that Democrats, especially Biden, do a better job of it.
