Made it more entertaining.
I wish they would keep these things at an hour.
Joe spoke well, few messed up lines like "Iranians" when he meant "Ukrainians".
But that is the Joe we know and love.
Of course the Qanon caucus made asses of themselves.

"bipartisan agenda" that most on the other side will have difficulty opposing.

He stood up for our agenda without pointing out how only a gaggle of fascist Trump-humpers could not agree, which is why he is POTUS and we are not.

he refused to react to Boebert's idiotic heckling, which must have pissed her off.

at a time when America needed to hear it. He got his message through with warmth, gravitas, and power.

We've been overwhelmed with poisonous propaganda from Russia, Fox, corporate profiteering social media, and corrupted pulpits.

We needed to glimpse the true American vision again, to grasp the dream of why people have come here from all over the world.

President Biden gave us that in his State of the Union speech.

Had a very clintonesque way of explaining tough concepts. Fight inflation by lowering costs of production and transportation, not by lowering wages. Lower childcare costs (referring back to when he was a single dad and had family help). Explaining high costs due to labor shortages during Covid. Cut costs of production by manufacturing here in the USA. It’s infrastructure DECADE. Praised GM and Ford and Intel for huge investments in USA. Start spending 2 per cent of GDP on research and development like the old days. All very nicely tied together.

I especially liked the comment about lowering costs not wages. The right always attacks high wages. He emphasized that American workers should get a chance to enjoy their increased wages.

Another good line (oldie) grow the economy from the bottom up and the middle out.

Very, very good domestic speech

Also very good in the beginning praising tough Ukrainian people and calling out Putin. Loved how he called him Putin. No titles.

Very effective for folks who are bored by the nuts and bolts of policies.
