https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2022/03/02/cory-hepola-running-for-governor/There's a half-assed sort of radio host on WCCO-AM here in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, Cory Hepola. He quit his job a short time ago. Nobody really missed him. Now, he's declaring himself a third-party candidate for the state's Governor's office.
Which party? The "Forward Party," brainchild of another erstwhile candidate, Andrew Yang, who competed strongly for last place in the 2020 Democratic primaries. So, he decided to shoot for the moon and start a brand new party.
Predictably, Mr. Hepola will not become the next Governor of Minnesota, any more than Andrew Yang will become POTUS. Sadly, a few Democrats will fall for this silliness and vote for both.
More's the pity...

(146,192 posts)2. You can, but I won't edit the title.
"Taking a shot at something" is universally recognized as a phrase and has nothing to do with firearms at all.
"Shot" is a noun with multiple meanings. You can look them up.
Meanwhile, I'll have a shot of single-malt Scotch while you read the definitions.
