Wow. Russia moves to criminalize unofficial information about the invasion of Ukraine: On March 4, the State Duma meet for a special session to discuss legislation that would make it a felony to disseminate disinformation about Russias invasion of Ukraine.

(667 posts)That information is the thing that the Russians wish to control. Like the Duma, Republicans have sought to ban information in health care, to rid libraries of books, to remove facts from textbooks and classrooms.
In this digital age, it is nearly impossible to keep the truth under wraps. Despite Trumps best efforts, despite the efforts of the Tennessee school board, despite removal of statistics from state data bases we have learned what authoritarians have sought to hide. The truth has a way of wafting in through cracks, by means of true Americans, real human beings, actual patriots.
May the truth always prevail -here and abroad- and may it continue to make us free.
