spend a few B on a FC, then sell at a loss-you're not really feeling a lot of pain.Least he could do, while trying to save his "legacy".

make similar gestures, insufficient as they might be, a consensus to stop shooting and withdraw might gain traction.

or what remains after he gets back what he paid?
Either way, if it ends up being used for a good cause (I guess victims of the war includes Russians as well), then whatever, no reason to not accept the gesture.

... so it doesn't matter any more. Abramovich is the owner of the team because the previous owner sold it to him and accepted his Russian "blood money" as payment. Now Abramovich is free to sell it for whatever price and do what he wants with the dough. If he donates some of it to help Ukraine, well OK. But that doesn't help the Russian people he stole it from.

The time to freeze the oligarchs' money is when they're trying to get it out of Russia. They have to "launder" it somehow. That was the whole point of the Magnitsky sanctions.

Early on it looked as though he was going to wait things out, but he's decided otherwise. He's also put a couple of London residential properties up for sale as well.
