Lesson of the last few years (& yes, all of human history) is that trying to shame the shameless, condemn the amorality of the amoral, & speak to the conscience of the conscienceless is not just pointless, it plays into their hands. They can't be lectured, they must be defeated.

We have a tendency to be governed by the purity police. Funny thing is, the same people think they are more refined, above the fray.

Those people have zero comprehension on how they play right in to the RW b.s. and make it much harder for others. When called out they immediately go to the purity defense.
