It doesnt seem like it.
I admired him. He was hard on me at times but as I look back, it made me a better person. He drove a truck for a living, working hard to support his family of nine children. He taught us what respect is and why it was important to know how to treat others. He taught us that hard work pays off in everything we do. He was filled with joy when we succeeded in a tough spot. I could keep going on. His memory lives on. I miss his wisdom, faithfulness and dedication that helps me move from one day to next. I walk in his footsteps with with pride he had and I have succeeded the way he did with my memory of him.

I share your sense of loss. I was very close to my father and was with him when he died last May. I still want to pick up the phone and call him when I think or read of something that would interest him.
Peace for us both and may we live the good lives our fathers would want for us.
