Back then, the writing portion of the SAT was tough. It required an ability to synthesize several sources of information about a topic and write a coherent essay featuring a position, support for that position cited from the source materials, and a cohesive conclusion deriving from the arguments presented. Given what we saw of Trump’s inability to write even a grammatical sentence and his word salad verbal comments, there is no way he could have passed the written portion of the SAT.
