No matter how far we come, we get reminded that it's not enough. This is why I raised $111M for @serenaventures. To support the founders who are overlooked by engrained systems woefully unaware of their biases. Because even I am overlooked. You can do better, @nytimes.

Her name is literally the first two words of the story. Not everyone knows who she is. Not everyone watches tennis.

really a bad ass and I have no idea how she can do so many things at the same time. Other than that I don't follow tennis. But both of them seem to be involved in so many things beyond the sport.

Yes, they apparently used the wrong photo, which is sloppy on the part of the NYT. They did correct it for the online version, and they apologized.

I didn't even look at the picture. Was so confused, because it seems like a really nice article, lol.

But, no. That is not her. Nice job, NYT.

This was our mistake. It was due to an error when selecting photos for the print edition, and it did not appear online. A correction will appear in tomorrow’s paper.

but NYT says otherwise.

A few days ago I was on a call with one of my brother's kids. I had on reading glasses and bro came in the room when he heard my voice. He screamed when he saw me _I was wearing reading glasses - he could have sworn he saw our long deceased mother. Now I rarely look like mom, but it's like that with family.
