After call with Putin, Macron convinced that 'the worst is yet to come' and Russia wants to take all

of Ukraine

PARIS — Russian President Vladimir Putin called French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday, in what appeared to have been a markedly more tense exchange than previous conversations between the two leaders.

The 90-minute call failed to deliver a diplomatic breakthrough, and a senior French official said it left Macron convinced that “the worst is yet to come” and that Putin aims to take control of all of Ukraine.

“Your country will pay dearly because it will end up as an isolated country, weakened and under sanctions for a very long time,” Macron told Putin, according to a French official, who added that Macron “called on Vladimir Putin to not lie to himself.”

The conversation, which the French presidency said was initiated by Putin, came as Ukrainian officials were set to hold talks with a Russian delegation, according to Russian and Ukrainian officials. But based on the two leaders’ exchange, there was no indication Thursday that a diplomatic solution could be in sight, according to French officials.

Major show of force. I do worry about the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Very vulnerable.

And I'm convinced that flooding America with social media propaganda so we'd be fighting with each other and not uniting to wipe this asshole out of existence was part of his master plan. You can almost tell which side people are on by what they shit post.

Lenin Stalin Putin - the Holy Grail of Mother Russia.
I haven’t heard “legacy” used in any discussion but maybe I’ve missed it. This is his legacy and no one can stop him.

They seem to take such pleasure in inflicting as much pain as possible at all those who stand in their way, defeat them in even the smallest way. Sadistic sociopath or psychopath, or whatever you want to call it, I just just don't get it.

turn out this way. A combination of nature and nurture. People like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong-il, Kim Jong-un, Trump, Putin, etc. were probably born bad.

On top of that, they were also probably born into circumstances that made them even worse. There seems to be an extreme paranoia and insecurity in all of these men that partially accounts for their cruelty. They are also completely narcissistic and ego bound and any threat to their ego is worse than death to them. They must crush anyone or anything (ideology) who is a threat to them.

I don't really get it either, but having grown up with a step-parent who is somewhat like that (not exactly a dictator, but certainly tyrannical, narcissitic and sadistic) and trying to understand why, it is something I have spent my life trying to figure out what makes people behave that way.

I don't see them as strong at all. I see them as very weak and insecure. They will do anything to protect their fragile egos from harm.

Putin needs to be stopped. By any means possible. Like Trump, I don't think he has any real friends and I am sure a lot of people would like him out of the way. Even those who pretend to be on his side.

surrounded by sycophants reality is gone and what exists in their mind is EVERYTHING. Whatever destruction occurs is secondary to that need to attain that goal/desire/legacy/status/power...... it's all-consuming.

Certainly appears to me that's what we are witnessing.

stuffed down our throats is a complete fucking lie. It's now clear he just wants this territory, just wants to conquer this land and crush its people--mostly for his own ego, or to strike back at western culture and influence, or both. If I hear one more person, here or anywhere else, tell us it's because NATO threatens Russia's security and it's really OUR fault he's driven to do this--they're going to get an earful. Well, a keyboard-ful.
