As March is Women's HERSTORY Month, I wanted to look at some notable Ukrainian

women. These are just few of the ones I found, more later:

Olga of Kiev (920-969)

First princess of Kievan Rus. Was one of the first to travel peacefully to th Byzantine Empire,, with some degree of cordial relations. Established the regulation of tribute collection rooted in law, making Kievan Rus prosperous.

Olga Kubylianska (1863-1942)

Feminist, intellectual, writer of novels and short stories. Was the first to embrace feminist ideas in Ukrainian literature, and the first to raise the idea of women's emancipation.

By the way, women now make up about ten percent of the Ukrainian military, including serving in combat.

If there are Ukrainian women whom you admire, please include them here.
