Warships may be on way to BEAUTIFUL Odessa

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/03/03/ukraine-military-kherson-odessa-kyiv-mariupol/

The mayor of Odessa, a major port on the Black Sea, said the population was preparing to mount a defense amid unverified reports that a large fleet of Russian warships was heading toward the waters off the coast.

“Who are you saving us from?” Mayor Gennady Trukhanov said in a video posted online, using an expletive as he addressed Russian leaders who have said the purpose of the invasion is to save ethnic Russians and Russian-language communities in Ukraine.

“Our job today is to act so that every meter of our Odessa land is under control of us, Odessians,” Trukhanov told reporters, according to a separate video posted to his Facebook page.

there is a small breakaway pro Russian area of Moldova called Transnistria. Russia already has some small force there. Putin cannot be happy that Moldova just asked to become part of EU... probably as first step to asking to be part of NATO. Romania is already part of both EU and NATO.

that Russian war ships are headed to Odessa, the last remaining port for Ukraine. Russia, if it captures Odessa will use it to re-supply its troops. This will leave just Poland to re-supply Ukraine.

Putin is leveling Ukraine.

parents left the Ukraine a hundred years ago. My grandpa used to always say "the Ruski's want our food and fertile soil."

I know, a simple reason. I never really looked at pictures of Ukraine before lately. It is a beautiful country. Or at least it was.
