Putin starts his war and this is how he treats his troops? I wish they could all rebel and go back home.

It's truly heartbreaking. I know there are many older, career military there, but the young boys who had no choice hurt my heart.

Russian soldiers. This is the way to get them to lay down their arms - through their stomachs.

I cannot blame any Ukranian (of either gender) if they need to look after themselves and their own fighting forces first.

9. I wonder how our troops would have reacted if Trump had decided to invade/occupy Canada?

While our logistics would certainly have been better, I suspect that our troop morale, being ordered into battle with our northern neighbor for no good reason, would have been similar.

and surrender (or defect??) to Ukraine. Ukrainians will treat them with dignity. Pooty cares nothing about them.

I spoke with my brother today and he mentioned that a news report mentioned Russian troops had canned goods that had a "use by" date that was as much as 5 years past due. Would you eat that? That's why he mentions above they are surviving on dry goods.

Seems to me that pooty and his puppets used the money to stuff their own pockets instead of supplying fresh food supplies for their military.

And the wounded? No soldier can be expected to put up with that kind of treatment.

I don’t think their going to be fired by the military, they are going to be shot as an example. Next up their command.

The Russian high command doesn’t care if it shoots entire units. They can replace entire armies tossed in to the chipper. Ask the Germans. They literally

That is part and parcel of their WWII doctrine of surrounding then smashing cities, and pouring conscripts like those poor bastards into the front. So what they failed, even these poor bastards know they are waiting to be rotated back to rear to be shot like; “The guys that didn’t come back, who didn’t come here..”

Their commanders are likely to have them shot when they reach the rear, the narrator is interpreted as “So we can be fired behindhand”.

That is also part of Russian battle doctrine, official or not.

They will be less kind to Ukraine, or us.
