We had short wave radio as a kid. You could hear radio stations around the world. I wonder who has them still?

It was one of my prized possessions when working in non-English speaking countries as listening to the BBC overnight was a lull to peaceful sleep and a way to stay connected.
Good on the BBC.

(7,263 posts)Works fine. Everyone should have something of the sort in case of emergencies - getting more relevant everyday as the Climate continues to disrupt things.
Can pick one up lots of places on the web.
