It just occured to me that Putin is way more evil than I thought on first...

and on first glance it's very EVIL, unprovoked and all.

His claim that his big reason for invading Ukraine was to get rid of the nazis running the country. That's huge as "Nazi" is an extremely loaded word for many rank-and-file Russians who get their news from state TV and radio, pure Putin propaganda sources. And the non-tech savvy Russians are not that far removed from the WWll generations, in fact, some are still alive, and they know that the nazis attacked Russia after signing a non-aggression pact with Stalin in 1939 so he could first attack in western Europe before violating the pact and double crossing Satlin by attacking Russia in 1942. 20 million Russians died in WWll, way more than any other nation.

So Putin purposely injected the specter of again fighting the nazis to engender support, while knowing the enormity of the lied as the president of Ukraine is Jewish even.

The younger, tech-savvy Russians, the ones bravely risking their lives and careers go online to tic-toc, youtube, twitter, instagram, facebook etc. for what's going on in the world, for their news.

Putin is indeed a monster.
