2. We don't need to look for reasons to escalate this.

Incompetent ground commanders in a second-rate military making poor choices is not a good enough of a reason to invoke end-times brinksmanship.

i'm not saying whether we should or shouldnt so much as- this seems a clear predicate to at least advance the threat.

4. I am far more concerned about the concerted efforts to attack civilians.

If we need to escalate, lets do it over that rather than the idiotic artillery fire direction of some poorly-trained low-level officer.

i just watched clint watts saying that these power plants are high value targets, esp since they all have rail heads. for an army bogged down on the road, that's a big get.
he said they have surrounded other plants and want to control the grid.

7. No doubt they were strategic targets. No doubt Russian forces have been reckless.

I still don't want to end the world because some untrained flunky can't aim their weapon.

6. I don't understand how folks want to expand this war to the rest of the world

before waiting to see if non-violent means will do the trick. Give sanctions and our leadership a chance; Biden knows more than we do, and war is an option at any time, but once executed, it is easier to start than to finish. Even if an expanded war did not involver nuclear weapons, think about Viet Nam, Afghanistan? Are our memories so short? It breaks my heart, but the mass of Russian troops will end up occupying Ukraine and there is not a hell of a lot we can do to prevent it. Lets at least be a bit patient about starting WWIII and destroying civilization, my dog has a birthday coming up next week...

We have a good leader in the White House, let him do his job.

which means i've lived my life in the shadow of a mushroom cloud.
i also know my history, and this smacks too much of ww11. a mad man on the march.

i think how you know a good war from a bad war is by watching how many citizens step up to fight. and more so, how many citizens of other countries do.
dont think i've seen a better case for war in my lifetime.

i hate it as much as you do, but when someone brings it like this, they cant be appeased.

He doesn't give a rat's ass how many Ukrainians or, for that matter, how many Russians have to die for it.

Don't despair about the sanctions not working, they just have not stopped the war yet. The Russian people are the ones who will stop this, and they won't get angry until they get hungry.

Memories have clearly vanished. The US Military has become the go to fix all. With no consideration of the cost. Human or monetary.
