Added another link. Topic is still trending. Questions remain for Rand Paul and Moscow Mitch why Kentuck Teachers Fund invested so heavily in Russian Bank, why investment made close to announcement of aluminum plant that never happened, and why they say funds were pulled out one day before Ukrainian invaded by Russia.

But mitch is in the us senate, which has no influence over state govt. The new dem gov. will likely get the blame though, even though the gop legislature is in control......

Just because Moscow's favorite Kentuckian is a member of the US Senate, and the current governor is a Democrat, doesn't stop Mitch from have a lot of influence over the state legislature!

His fingerprints are well removed.

I'm sure he lobbied for support for the bank. The ky legislature seems to do what he muses about. But he has no direct control.

May not be official.
It is the legislature's responsibility, I believe. Moscow Mitch made a few friendly phone calls, I'm sure.

Sorry, this comment was more anger than fact.

So, what did it say?

And why was it removed? I'll take a shot in the dark -- it was embarrassing to Moscow Mitch, so we can't have that. Right?

overall investments of the pension fund.

No, despite what you see on the Internet, Kentucky’s teacher pension fund did not just lose $13 million in Russian bank stock.

“From March 2017 until the final sale on Feb. 23, 2022, TRS invested $15.6 million with $12.4 million returned, for a loss of $3.2 million,” the agency said in the statement.
