interesting email from the IT dept where I work...

there has been a major uptick in phishing, spoofing and spamming.

edit: an update from my IT dept.

in brief: the uptick is directly caused by the war in Ukraine.

I work at a high profile Architecture company

wide open for them to score some free bucks w/o working for it. Especially w/ emotions running high.

2. our's notified us to update our router firmware due to several exploits...

Some nasty bugs have come up in the past year or so. If you have a router or hw firewall, check the firmware level and update if available.

My ISP is usually really good at intercepting crap, but I have notice weird stuff slipping through, including a receipt from Norton utilities for a renewal for server security that wasn't even addressed to me. I don't even use Norton. I hadn't associated it with war, but now that you mention it...
