so that 2)sanctions etc can be lifted and these companies can get back to making money and paying their debts.

Glass half empty: this incentives them to skip the Putin/Ukraine part and just lobby to remove sanctions etc, so these companies can get back to making money and paying their debts.

Yeah, these assholes are just going to go to the second step first...

And seize all the assets of all the ogliarches .

They are corrupt and meddle in politics.

Fuck them.

Make them ordinary citizens.

That would free up shitloads of money to better the lives of the American people, the non rich majority.

Stuff like free college, universal healthcare among a whole lot of other good things. With that money we might even stop global warming.

A big education program aimed at kids, adults about narcissists authoritarians, psychopaths and bullies just might save democracy.

Doing any business with Russia should not be allowed.
Or written off on taxes.
Or excused.

Jailed would be acceptable to me.

who is trying to literally kill them and take the country, and people are fleeing to a safe haven, because said dictator is killing people and destroying the infrastructure .......but arbitrage is more important, I just wonder if they can put themselves in those shoes just for one second and just imagine if it was them, this is why I do not like Wall Street.......

The pain trickles down to the many, while the profits just keep concentrating into fewer and fewer hands.

The oligarch/kleptocracy problem is a global one.

As granny once said, money is like ketchup --it don't do much good unless you spread it around.

Note that gains to which an excise tax applies can't be netted against losses on other investments 😭
