lots of people drink away a snow day, some pass out, some get violent. No idea if that is the case here though, just a theory.

When I lived back in that neck of the woods, that was a scary factory city, I never went there alone.

I think the city got cleaned up back in the 1980s when WANG Corp. came along and cleaned up a bunch of Lowell System factory towns. Still a place I wouldn't go alone, it is not far from Lowell, MA and Nashua, NH, though.

It's one of the stops on the Downeaster Amtrak train that I take up to Maine when I go. It's also a commuter rail stop from North Station in Boston. I hate it because there is a bridge that we have to cross over the Merrimack River right before we get to the stop and I am terrified of bridges, especially older ones these days. I always feel like I am holding my breath until we have safely crossed.

A lot of old factories and plants around that area, so I am assuming pretty blue collar and probably a lot of displaced workers.

The Maura Murry story is baffling though. Even though I live in Boston, I was unaware of it until now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Maura_Murray
