(9,256 posts)I only allow myself real (non-diet) soda a few times a year and it has to be Coke. Only thing worse than Pepsi is Diet Pepsi

(23,059 posts)25 years ago I was a diet Pepsi person, every day I'd drink several. Then I read about all the bad things in these and quit drinking sodas all together. I can't remember the last time I drank one, it's been more than a decade for sure.
Still, If I had to choose, it'd be Pepsi. Coke is just way nastier tasting to me, never liked it, even when I was a child & that's all my folks bought.

(1,568 posts)Not completely because there have been times where that was my only option. But there has been times where I went several years without even tasting a soda. And in the years where I did drink a soda, it was maybe one or two the entire year. Up until the point I stopped drinking it I used to drink fair amount and craved it, but now there is zero desire unless I'm really really thirsty and that's all that's around. Weird how that works.

(20,628 posts)prefer the taste of Coke. Definitely has that "not overly sweet" quality to it.
I enjoy Coke's A-HA brand of sparkling water, but there are so many other options out there, it won't be any issue switching.

(1,568 posts)I bought a case for someone who drank a lot of pepsi. They totally rejected it and said it was absolutely disgusting. I guess their taste bud were calibrated to only like the HFCS stuff.
