Ukrainians are flooding Russian forces

People asked in the Mud and Truck maintenance threads earlier what the Ukrainians could do to make the rasputisa mud worse.

They opened the Kyiv reservoir to accomplish just that.

The Russians pushed three Tank/Mech divisions into a flood plain the Ukrainians flooded

As correctly pointed out by some of you, Ukrainian troops seems to flooded the area north of Kyiv. That's the reason why the Russian advance is stagnating there. #Ukraine #UkraineRussiaWar #Kyiv

Putin and his lackeys never expected the fanatical resistance from the Ukrainians.

Because it's spring the ground isn't frozen and so even tanks have been getting stuck in the mud. This forces them to stay on roads and be sitting ducks.

In the south it's a different story as they have been going off road and have been a lot more successful.

The cold is likely causing the russians to run their engines to keep warm, further reducing their fuel supplies.

I seem to remember that in the battle of the bulge, the germans were greatly hurt by a lack of fuel. Modern armies need a lot of it. And cold weather makes it worse.
