To watch an old gentleman walking with his elderly wife, who is walking with a cane, attempting to escape the insanity of the invasion of their homeland.
As the insane dictator hides out in Moscow, or one of his many dachas, as his stormtroopers ravage the homes and lives of his neighbor, as women and children are crying as they run from the bombs, and there is nothing anyone can do.
Because the world is being blackmailed by the threat of nuclear weapons.
It did not happen overnight. It evolved over time as people turned the other way or ignored the lawlessness within their own countries, as the tyrants moved to protect their greedy gains by any means necessary.

(45,657 posts)He spent a huge amount of money, time and effort damaging and weakening western democracies. Buying western leaders who were quite willing to sell out their countries for power and wealth.
Now is Putin's time to achieve his goal of shifting global power to himself, getting control of the West, and reviving the great Russian Empire.
It is like that famous scene in The Godfather, where Michael Corleone consolidates his power as godfather and settles all scores.
