One of he stupidest movies ever made, in this humble truckers opinion.

Based on a stupid premise (That a trucker hating cop starts a fight in a diner, forcing the truckers to run for it) and full of dopey CB “lingo” that started a wave of CB Purchases by the general public and popularized the expression “Good Buddy” which within months was turned into a pejorative for homosexual by the truckers in this country.

6 months after that movie became popular half or better of Citizens Band Radio sales were to “4 wheeler” drivers, not truckers, and the truckers got sick of the extra traffic from users who were not other truckers.

Many, many overpasses covered with pick-up trucks and flag wavers - all on the north-bound side. Couldn't figure out WTF? - then realized they were humping their trucker friends!

As a local, they made it around the 64 miles of the 495 Beltway twice on Sunday when there was no traffic. From Hagerstown (rural redneck Maryland) to 495 is about 50-60 miles so it at least a 220 mile jaunt which is boring as hell. Waiting to see if they actually try it again today, even if they wait until after rush; there will be a lot more traffic. 270 and 495 are notorious for traffic already so there Sunday drive will not prepare them for today.

with convoy supporters and their signs and flags outside Houston on a trip Friday. When she stopped for gas she saw a sticker saying “Biden did this,” with an arrow pointing at the price window. She broke a fingernail scratching the sticker off the gas pump. Another member of my Sunday school class also saw one and scraped it off.

Biodiesel, as it turns out, is a REALLY good solvent. Unless all the rubber parts in your truck are biodiesel-compatible it’ll eat through them in short order.

However! Biodiesel mixes well with petroleum diesel and five percent of it will not damage anything, so pretty much any diesel you buy contains 5 percent of it.
