(53,032 posts)and all the hand shaking. 2014 explains it. Plus Podesta was there. No reason for him to be with Obama on a walk today.

(1,184 posts)His presidency simultaneously seems like just yesterday and eons ago.
Such a genuine, intelligent, sensitive soul. One wonders what our country would be like if he hadn't faced the obscene obstruction he did, on everything from health care reform to Merrick Garland's nomination. Republicans knew what a force he was and threw everything at him. It's sad.

She could barely speak. When he gave his keynote speech in 2004 for Kerry, I called my kids to the TV.
I said, "See that guy? He'll be President someday." I didn't know it would be so soon.

(45,433 posts)Even though I would sometimes be stuck at an intersection while the presidential motorcade went by, I didn't mind it. Because President Obama and now President Biden would be out among the people supporting local businesses. That simply wasn't the case with TFG.
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff sometimes goes for walks among the people with Pete Buttigieg's husband Chasten.
