I have no information other than this, but I am told JBA is on lockdown right now due to reports of an active shooter. Another reporter and I are in a shuttle van that is being held due to situation.

The VP had already left base on Marine 2.

JBA = Joint Base Andrews. This is the base Air Force One takes off from. Again, I'm just in a van reporting what I see. A couple sirens just went by.

Guards stopped the shuttle reporters take from the terminal. They had rifles out and searched our van.

Again, Harris and SGOTUS left already in Marine Two. We have asked for updates on the cabinet members who were also on the flight: Cardona, Buttigieg, and Fudge.

8. Latest from NYT: One apprehended but not yet id'd, the other fled; no shots fired.

The two people drove through the checkpoint at the main gate and “failed to adhere to commands of security personnel,” Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County, Md., said in a statement on Sunday night.

The authorities at the base, in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, stopped the intruders’ vehicle with “barriers,” but they fled, the statement said. One of them was apprehended, and hours later, after a full sweep of the base, officials said they had found evidence the second intruder had “departed the installation.”

“We can confirm that the individual who was apprehended had a weapon, but no shots have been fired,” the base said in a statement. The authorities did not identify the person who was apprehended.
