Putin's no anchor around GrOPer necks, he's a buoy... He's TFG in a different skin suit.

Much like huge numbers of Americans voted for Trump because he hated and crapped on "other" people -- including white Americans when they stood against white supremacists and thereby became "others" -- huge numbers of Americans will enthusiastically cheer Putin killing (white) Ukrainians because they stood against Putin crapping on "other" people, even when those "others" are (white) Ukrainians.

Your point about their racism is undisputed, but war and wreckage like we’re seeing strikes at a visceral level.

didn't seem to bother the 74.2M people who voted for TFG in 2020. They were obnoxiously loud about how proud they were to do so. And in any other election in American history that would have been the biggest vote total ever. TFG went from 63M in 2016 to 74M in 2020. That's hardly a rebuke of TFG and his noxious white nationalism or his embracing of bombing the shit out of anyone who defies him or is anyway adjacent to such people.

FOXNews and various grifters have these asshole TFG-voters slurping up horse paste, FFS, just to be oppositionally-defiant. They will do almost anything they are told, apparently.

There is no depths to which some (too many) won't descend if it make an "other" suffer, or to "own" them, even if only in their own minds.

Despite the massive popular vote total, President Biden barely won in 2020. His aggregate margin of victory in the states which swung the Electoral College was smaller than TFG's was in 2016. We got lucky that the massive popular vote margin happened to barely yield an EC victory, this time.

I'm not optimistic at all that the (regionally-relevant and successfully-voting) people's disgust at these moral outrages will overwhelm their unhappiness with higher gas prices or whatever.

That tfg and Pootie remain popular. Of course there’s always going to be the total idiots. Also, if the tfg position were staying popular he wouldn’t have changed his lies..but he has.

To say nothing of the fact that President Biden’s approval numbers have jumped 8 points

Should be on 1000 billboards and in the Capitol Building. Look at those faces.
