But all of a sudden every other car is a giant pickup that doesn't fit on the road.

On the other hand, Rachel was talking one day about her big pickup. It's a hybrid, and in the event of a blackout it somehow turns into a generator.

The hidden message is my prick is bigger than your prick - compare contest,...

Little boys do shit like this all the time.

A similar version,... A group of little boys stand at a designated line scratched in the sand.,... all whip it out,... then proceed to piss with all the force they can muster. Who ever pees furthest is the grand prize winner.

This is commonly referred to as "A pissing contest." It is kind of juvenile and sophomoric,.. But some men just refuse to fucking grow the fuck up.

Society is burdened with they presents,... they often become red necked Nazi 40 to 50 year old Fascist juvenile delinquents.

Oy - Oy - Oy..... Oy Vey to say the least.

Grow the fuck up. Toxic masculinity at its full glory.

Give us a break.

They also have huge rims, mud tires, raised suspensions and massive tow hitches, but seldom go off pavement or tow anything. It's all about the freedom to consume as much energy as possible. That's the American way.

Every liberal and not political millennial and Gen X I know is on the waiting list for the Ford F 150 Electric. They are taking orders for 2024. They used to say we should reclaim the American flag. Now, we claim the cool truck (which can also power a house during a blackout).

The cost of a new 3/4 ton pickup truck is probably about the average yearly salary of many of the buyers. I suspect some of them will still be paying the payments after the truck is in the junkyard. If you really go all out and buy a King Ranch pickup you are talking damn near $60,000.00. It is a high price to prove your manhood.

One is a diesel technician and does side work on his own as well, the other has his own excavation business.

Both are Trumpy rednecks with lifted diesel trucks. I suspect one might have been in DC for 1/6, but he's smart enough to cover his ass about it and keep his mouth shut.

The bigger the pickup, the better. They sometimes require two parking spaces because the testosterone toys must be bigger than other trucks. And you know they’re not the trucks used in work because they’re always shiny and not a scratch or dent on them. And the SUVs around here are equally enormous. It’s as if big cars and trucks are an identity here in Texas.

If you live in the mountains you need 4 wheel drive.

It doesn’t need to be great. Our Pathfinder is 22 years old runs great. Our mechanic says he can keep it running forever. I couldn’t begin to buy a new one.

Gas in Costa Rica is $4.50 to 5.50 per gallon always. US is the most spoiled country.

I’m not standing with these truckers but yes people need trucks that use gas.

Like there was in previous “gas crises”?
I think American carmakers will regret their decision to stop making regular cars in favor of SUVs and trucks. An economical compact would be a big seller now. And they’re forcing anyone who wants a regular sedan to buy a Toyota or Hyundai. So much for brand loyalty. A lot of us older folks have trouble getting into a truck or SUV and prefer a sedan.

We like to have a pickup in the family for hauling, and my old one is showing its age and rusting out badly.

I'll buy their gas guzzler for cheap, fuel prices don't hurt much if you only put a few thousand miles on it a year.
