The big problem nobody wants to recognize is that trucking isn't the kind of job anybody can do. The trucking companies treat their employees like serfs, always have, which is why there is a shortage, that and drug testing for pot.

If the companies were more humane to work for, there wouldn't be a shortage of drivers and there would be a better caliber of drivers out there. Once upon a time it was a much friendlier troupe of drivers out there, when that stopped, I was glad to retire.
