What will the Chinese do?

They declared solidarity with Russia, saying it’s “iron clad”, but abstained from the UN resolution condemning Russia. Will China try to prop up Russia’s sinking economy? Will they try to sanction us? What are the stakes for the Chinese?

I’d allow Russia to flounder, then buy as much of eastern Russia as possible at wholesale prices. It’s gonna be occupied by Chinese people before much longer anyway.

My nuclear allusion was symbolic as much as anything else. There's no clarity on where we'll be a week from now, much less in the month going forward.

The situation is fluid and volatile with some dire consequences possible.

The Chinese could greatly damage the US economy... and vice versa.

The Russians... can have only a minimal effect on our economy.
