A "No Fly Zone" is not an act of war, it's an act of HUMANITY.

Targeting non combatants is an act of terrorism. In this case not just state sponsored terrorism, but state acted terrorism.

As long as Putin cows western democracies with his threats, he will act the monster.

Warn Putin that his terrorists attacks stop, that he ends the assault against women, children and the elderly or we will.

A no fly zone just that. There is no need for air war as long as no aircraft enter the zone. Putin should be put on notice that the Western powers aligned against him have no wish to enter into World War 3 with him, but that slaughtering innocent civilians is terrorism pure and simple. He does not get a free pass to engage in terrorism just because his army is incapable of winning this war.

If he continues to cow the western powers his next threat will be that he be named leader of ________ (insert nation). Maybe he threatens that if trump isn’t put back in power he will nuke us. If we don’t buy all our gas from him he will nuke us. If we don’t give back the oligarchs yachts he will nuke us. If we don’t declare ______ (insert demand) he will nuke us.

It will be endless and once you capitulate to someone like him, you will always capitulate and appease and grovel.

Enough of this asshole is enough already. Just like his pet American trump, Putin is an old washed up lump of political turdness.

It breaks my heart to see children running for their lives from artillery, mortars, tanks and aircraft. This did NOT have to happen, he, Putin, chose it. This is genocide in living color on our televisions, computers and mobile devices. We are all seeing exactly what he is doing. What makes any of us think it’s ok as long as we don’t pester him with a no fly zone.

5. There is no such thing as a "no fly zone" in an active combat theater...

What you are calling for is a CAP - a Combat Air Patrol, that would shoot down enemy planes. Launching missions like that would be a definitive act of war that would have us in a shooting war with Russia, which nobody wants right now.

9. A so-called no-fly zone is not a magic force field that prevents enemy planes from entering.

It's what's really called a combat air patrol, which means that NATO aircraft would be patrolling the skies over Ukraine and shooting down any Russian plane that entered, which would mean direct combat vs. Russia. That is not "pestering" Putin; it would be regarded as a direct provocation that might make him feel justified in using nuclear weapons - probably not ICBMs immediately but at least tactical nukes at this point, and they would be targeted at Ukraine first, so the Ukrainians would be even worse off than they are now, and at other NATO countries in Europe. And then it would get worse.

Everyone is horrified by the attacks on civilians in Ukraine, but baiting Putin by establishing a CAP would make their already dire situation exponentially worse. And everyone else's after that.

NATO would have to bomb inside of Russia, or give Ukraine the equipment to bomb inside of Russia, to have an impact on the attacks on civilians.
