"SNIP.......

Lawrence Freedman: “We are left contemplating the psychology of the man who launched this catastrophic adventure and must now decide whether to call it off with whatever face-saving claims he can muster. We wonder whether when he claims his war plan is on schedule and is meeting its goals is a continuation of his past delusions, because the sycophants around him don’t know how to tell him the truth, or because he does not know how to admit to the Russian people how badly he has let them down, especially after he has gone to extreme lengths to hide the truth from them.”

“He is now engaging in more conversations with international leaders, the latest being with Israeli prime Minister Naftali Bennett, so perhaps he is starting to look for a diplomatic way out.”

“It is possible to slide away from defeat by claiming victory against more realistic goals. After all Saddam Hussein led Iraq into two disastrous wars – when he invaded Iran in 1980 and seized Kuwait a decade later. At the end of both, with nothing to show for all the consequential death and destruction, he nonetheless claimed victory because somehow, he had personally managed to survive in power. As Putin is forced to move away from his maximum aims will that minimum one also come to be his priority?”

1. In my opinion, if Putin claims "VICTORY " and gets out now, he may survive with his life.

(notice I say .."may survive" )

..The more that are killed, the more that will want to kill him. He may not survive with his life. He is an
evil fool that has killed a lots of people. He has whatever an evil horrible person has coming to him. We all
know that , including Putin.

Not according to my source who is in contact with very, very brave Russians inside Russia who continue to use technology to inform the public of what the government is doing in their name and the growing resistance inside their country.

will in my opinion, I think Putin will be unable to save face and therefore will continue to bluster and pursue this war. What we will have is another Afghanistan type conflict. Not identical of course because of proximity to Europe and the topography but similar in the fact that Russia will not be able to stop a determined insurgency supported by the west. So in short it will be a long bloody slugfest for Rusia.

Accept complete and total surrender.

today, they said they would stop the shelling immediately if
Donbas and the other area would remain in Russian control and they would leave the country with no designs to conquer the rest of Ukraine
That Ukraine would change it’s constitution and declare itself a neutral nation permanently and never join NATO.

Did the bully of the world get his nose bloodied and is looking for a way out? Just seems to me if you know you are winning why would you offer concessions?

For years if not decades. Regardless of how Putin tries to frame things, we need to make sure other parts of Russia’s leadership don’t let a tyrannical leader try this shit again.
