(15,543 posts)as he does this to the Christian people of Ukraine.
Why have Republicans embraced and supported Putin and his hate, anger, famine, murder, war--and all the other evils Christ preached against?

(15,543 posts)And the deadly hypocrisy of those Republicans claiming to follow Christ while applauding the genocidal attack of Putin on Christians (and people of other faiths) is a glaring admission that Republican claims to be followers of Christ are about as false as false can be.
They are worshipping evil, while claiming to be holy. That just don't sit well with me. Or billions of other people.

(3,645 posts)Two weeks ago they had no idea of what was really coming. I suspect one can't really imagine themselves in this type of situation until it actually happens. Way too traumatic and sad.

(21,304 posts)Trump is still the leader of the Putin Party and no one denounces him, they are all members. No I don't count what Lyndsey Graham said.
No I don't count what Mike Pence said, he was totally against NATO until he was for it.
Members of the Putin Party are only condemning the war and Putin because their internal polling tells them to do so.

(17,199 posts)in this country. It's obvious not everyone will get on a train today. Kharkiv (1.5 million) is in North East
Ukraine so it's a very long journey to Poland, hope they get everybody out who wants to flee.

(2,347 posts)As a hospital-based RN who would wear one all day anyway before the pandemic, I never understood how anyone could complain about being asked to wear one for a few minutes while in a store. That was just
asinine
and fucking selfish.
For them now to go and make comparisons between having to wear a mask and Ukraine fighting for its life against Russian aggression is
laughable
at minimum
ludicrous on its face. These people need outrage and indignation in order to function. And this is just their latest pout-rage.
As Spock might have said, That is so illogical, it is unworthy of refutation.

(2,347 posts)But for the fact I can pick out modern clothing on people in the picture. Otherwise, Id have said, based on the looks of the rail cars (admittedly, Im no train expert, though - they just appear ancient in design), it was a pic of people fleeing the Nazi Wehrmacht in World War II.

(269 posts)showing these photos in black and white. To me it visually reads as, Hey, havent we seen this before? Despots destroying entire cities. Citizens hiding or fleeing in terror. Makes me sick.
