Poland just gave all their Mig 29s to Ukraine.

The authorities of the Republic of Poland, after consultations between the President and the Goverment, are ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MIG-29 jets to the Ramstein Air Base and place them at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America.

At the same time, Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes.

The Polish Government also requests other NATO Allies – owners of MIG-29 jets – to act in the same

From a CBS News report from yesterday March 7.

But none of today's articles I reviewed stated those numbers. I am assuming the numbers are not being released for a reason.

But it looks like 27 total MiGs.

Like, I will grab Russia, and pull it along the ground while holding its legs, and you walk along behind, kicking it, in its head..

A fair match to the SU-27 variants...

The problem will be getting them in country and away from Russian SAMS.

With all this "lead up" and advance notice I'm 110% sure the Russians have something planned for them.

Using an airbase in a NATO country in this conflict would be against what NATO has pledged.

It's always easier to protect your own territory from an invading army whose supply chain is stretched.

Provided both armies are equally equipped.

So supplying Ukraine with war planes and hand held missiles will go some way to redress that imbalance.

Wonder what Vlad's response will be?
