I would have to agree. There are a lot of people there that do support the UK. I've been to Belfast and a few small towns but between reading history and being there, it is occupied. Two of my grandparents came to the US from England but I don't see how it is not.

Demonstrator crashes truck through Russian Embassy gates in Dublin as protests target Moscow’s diplomats in Western countries

A video of the incident in south Dublin shared by Irish broadcaster RTE News shows a large truck backing into the gates of the Russian Embassy as some onlookers cheer. Other videos posted on social media show the driver, who identifies himself as Desmond Wisley, handing out fliers with images of what he describes as victims of Russian forces in Ukraine, including a woman and two children.
Pointing to the leaflets, he said, “I’ve done it for this lady here and her kids that were killed in an apartment. … It really affected me. … It’s about time we stood up

Seems odd that people here in the US would be celebrating that fact.

along with a rainbow and a pot o' gold. He's not even Irish (and I am-well 1/2) It's become more like St. Patrick's Month instead of Day. I don't think he can keep the drinking up that long.
