Ukraine today, is what Republicans have planned for America tomorrow
Putin isn't alone in being a dangerous, deadly fascist. The words dangerous, deadly and fascist also apply to our very own Republican Party. Whatever is currently being spewed from the mouths of most elected Republicans, the truth is that they envy Putin. His goal is to seize and own Ukraine. The goal of top Republicans, (and their donors/owners), is to seize control of the United States.
The Governors of Texas and Florida don't bother to hide who and what they are, anymore than does the Maniac of Mar-a-Lago. Their view of a stifled society, bending to their whims and wishes, is what they're after. And only totally brainwashed and/or brain dead people don't see it or get it.
Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Louis Gohmert, as well as Governors Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott, and far too many others to mention here, are all signs of of an American electorate that has been brain-fucked, or never had much intelligence to begin with. And yes, I'm spitting on my fellow citizens who are so fucking dumb that they're going to help the Republicans enslave them and all the rest of us.
There have been thousands of posts here on Democratic Underground warning about a right wing, fascist takeover of America. The Republican Party is home to those right wing fascists and they are on the verge of taking over our country and killing our democracy. This is what they've been working on for decades and damned if they aren't about to achieve it. And the fucking thing is, millions of us see it coming and aren't doing shit about the impending loss of our freedoms.
So what can or must we do about it? Well, we're seeing it play out in Ukraine right now. Ukrainians have only three choices: Leave; Fight; Die. That's happening at this very moment in Ukraine.
Most people don't grasp that Ukraine today may be a preview of America three, four, or five years from now. So check your passport, or prepay for your funeral, or plan your method of resistance. These aren't just words of what may/might/could come to be. This is as clear a warning that I can post here without getting banned.
Many of you may think I've "lost it," or have smoked too much weed, or had too much to drink. Think what you will. But, no shit, people. Republicans are, at this very moment, planning how to destroy our constitution, our democracy and all our freedoms. And my fear is that it will happen because too many people here and countrywide don't see it, or believe it can or will happen.
