I was going to try to find out how old they were and see if they had anyone around to tell them they had no obligation to let any man touch them let alone enjoy it.

When I was a kid our minister told us pretty much the same. He prefaced that by telling us he did not believe there was any such thing as rape. He asked us all to try to insert a pencil into a coke bottle he was waving around. See? If you really fight there is no way he can do it so if he does it it is your fault. Warped my little mind and scared the crap out of me for a while.

I would not be surprised to hear that some are still told that however. Remember the aspirin between the knees guy? We have made progress but in no way are we close to safe. They can and will legislate us into handmaids if they work at it but thankfully there are more women who DO NOT believe this stuff and who are not cowed by men with silly showcases to scare little girls. I have no faith that it will not happen but a hope that it will not. Too many things going on at this moment but once settled down I figure they will be gunning for us as hard as they can.

The thing about these awful anti abortion laws is that it won't end abortion. Women for all time have ended pregnancies. It will continue. But what we have had since Roe is that women could have SAFE and LEGAL abortions. Medical care.
