Clear to Me That Trump's Support of Putin Has Destroyed His Chances of Being Elected to Anything

Donald Trump cannot justify his support of Putin. Not only in an "Election", I also believe that speaking
engagements of all types will be canceled. He has proved himself to all, (yes, I said ( "ALL') that he is a
total fool. Well maybe 20% of those that followed him will still worship him..
...The Republican Party will disown him, and he will become total poison to most of the world. He can never
take this back. Never. He thinks he can, but he can't. Nothing he can do, will change what he has said in
support of Putin. Only one thing he can do:... "Move Permanently To Russia.

Sadly, it is not.

He will win the GOP nomination and even though he will lose by 15 million votes, because of the EC and outright changing of electors by GOP run states, most likely will "win."

The only was we stop him is if he is dead.

Donald Trump is total poison forever. He hasn't got a clue. But the professionals in the Republican Party
know this. Trump will still get some money, but not like before. Just wait and see. Time will tell, but
I think that he is done forever.

I thought Trump was 'poison' in 2015; I thought 'No way this guy even gets the nomination'. And when he did, I thought 'No way he wins the election.' I woke up the day after Election Day 2016 physically sick to my stomach at how wrong I was, and how horrible the next four years were going to be.

I've lost so much faith in the American people, I'm convinced that even if he is arrested and put in jail, he will still get the GOP nom in 2024, and could win again.

who've been drinking Putin's Kool-Aid and totally bought into TFG's lie about Ukraine and Biden. Tuckyo Rose Carlson is serving up that Kool-Aid by the gallon every night on Fox, and TFG's MAGAts are guzzling it up. Until TFG repudiates Putin - and he won't - his minions will tag right along.

He only needs to be a candidate. State legislatures will try to foul up the electors snd/or push the election to the House of Representatives.

I have not given up hope that a second coup will fail.

The Tragedy in Ukraine created by Putin -weakens the Republicans. We'll see by how much.

By the way, the push to ban Russian oil is bi-partiszn ONLY because higher oil prices benefit the Republicans favorite industry, oil, and that's why Manchin is on board too.

P.T. Barnum said something like that over a century ago, and things haven't changed.

Back in 2016 I kept telling myself that the US would never elect an inexperienced, misogynistic, bigoted, failed businessman to any sort of office, or even nominate him over experienced and qualified* candidates such as Bush, Christie, or Kasich.

*OK, I don't like any of them and would never have voted for one of them, but at least they had some idea of how government worked, and some degree of sanity

I'd say that the GOP is damaged at this point by their ties to Russia, and that will likely be a factor primarily for independent voters in the Fall. I think this is what isn't considered by most people here. What's left of the GOP is a band of thieves, fools, and ne'er-do-wells, and they aren't going to support anyone but Trump (something that I think has finally dawned on the governors of Florida and Texas respectively). The independents are reachable, and most are as disturbed by Putin's actions as the Democrats are. I think we have a good chance of actually picking up seats in both the House and Senate this cycle. That will shape 2024 as much as whether Trump attempts to regain control.

He isn't on the level about anything ever so it isn't far-fetched for him to claim he will run and try to raise money he keeps. There are still idiots who will fork over cash. He will say whatever to keep it coming.

I can picture him in prison still moaning and groaning--blaming Biden, Hillary and the 'radical leftists' for his plight. The stupid media will likely pay him for interviews, and there will be books. It won't end till he dies and then his spawn will try to beat each other to tell all for cash.

Truthfully, I don't see him exiling himself to Russia, China or anywhere. He won't be worth anything to Putin anymore and he can't be trusted.

He will also be broke.
