DES MOINES, Iowa Police arrested six teenagers and charged each with murder in a shooting outside a high school Monday that left one teenager dead and two others in critical condition.
A 15-year-old boy was killed in what police said was a targeted drive-by shooting. Two teenage girls, one 16 and one 18, were shot and remain in critical condition.
The deceased victim was the intended target, the two girls were not, according to Sgt. Paul Parizek, spokesperson for the Des Moines Police Department. Parizek said the gunfire came from multiple shooters and multiple vehicles

Probably wont go anywhere but bring it out to the open.

(3,728 posts)she always talked glowingly about her days when she was a student there, in the gumdrop and lollipop days of the 1950s. She never really wanted to acknowledge how badly the area had deteriorated since then.
Sadly, I'm sure she's rolling over in her grave after this incident.

(81,486 posts)"While this incident occurred outside of a school, it could have occurred in any one of our neighborhoods. The school is where the suspects found their target," Parizek said. "Within one hour of the incident, almost all of the suspects were in custody. Within several hours, all were."
Parizek said five residential search warrants and six vehicle search warrants were carried out within the city. Six firearms were recovered, he said.
