the job her constituents sent her for.

And the rest. I imagine always having different priorities from whatever majorities are focusing on is an important part of her self identity. In order to care more than others, it helps to find something they're less concerned about. As a politician, though, I suspect she learned long ago that it can be used to attract followers with the same leanings. And that it'll get her far more attention nationally than from her own district.

That is it will have a devastating impact on the average Russian.

After that she lost me. Well aware of the propaganda that Russians must block out. Over the last twenty years being able to get around the propaganda is much easier. So if that average Russian person has to deal with the impact, it is a cruel world. What the Russian people need to do is stand up and fight for themselves and the ire needs to be directed at their own Govt. They can also leave Russia. ]

The interview I have seen show two distinct groups, those who know who Putin is, (fight or get out) and stupid people who want to be fed the propaganda. I have zero sympathy for the latter, the former have the two options.

Will some weapons end up in the wrong hands, without a doubt. Like many others, she is setting herself up for an "I told you so." Issue is she provided absolutely zero solutions. Criticism, not constructive criticism. She thinks she is really smart, in reality she is just a politician offering nothing other than cheap tweets.

Real easy to take a contrarian view and then pick out cases that support your original opinion months later. That is what republicans always do and some other prominent politicians. Thing is, these people can't make a decision real time under pressure. But they can come in a day later and critique.

Good thing the US came to the aid of Somalia when their humanitarian crises rained down on them.

2019 -- US gives $257 million to Somalia in humanitarian aid.

2021 -- US gives $199 million to Somalia in humanitarian aid.

But I guess she forgot about that . . . .

P/S -- Ms. Omar - when people elect a president (again and again) who invades a sovereign nation and murders innocent civilians, even those fleeing, then maybe the pressure IS being applied appropriately.

I have come to the conclusion that we just likes to grandsrand. Listening to her on Democracy Now this morning she just says things to get people riled up. All Biden hate all the time.

Apparently we shouldn’t Arm Ukraine because Afghanistan. And we shouldn’t impose sanctions on Russia either. She wants us to basically do nothing because we didn’t do anything or enough for someone else in the past. She isn’t looking to do the right thing going forward, she seeks revenge for things that happened in the past. After living here ad watching her for her career this far it is apparent to me that she mostly enjoys being controversial and that sometimes gets in the way of doing the right things.
