Hmmm, could UKR "no fly zone" be a misnomer?

Hmmm, could "no fly zone" be a misnomer?

Ukraine cities aren't getting hit with bombs from airplanes they're getting hit with unguided missiles from missile truck that come from the air but not from AIRPLANES.

Could it be they think a "no fly zone" would shut down the missiles?

I've worked with people from different countries and sometimes the thinking is different than ours when it comes to English.

Anyone else know how to speak Ukrainian can maybe hear if the "no fly zone" is a misnomer?

thx in advance

it's not a no fly zone, the correct term would be CAP, (Combat Air Patrol) because we would be shooting at Russian aircraft or SAM's if they violated the CAP, with all it's consequences.

that would prevent Russian aircraft from entering UKR airspace, and it's nothing of the kind. The correct term is combat air patrol, which would involve NATO aircraft patrolling that airspace in order to shoot down any Russian planes they encounter in that airspace. It would not prevent missiles from entering the airspace either. Ukrainian vs. English isn't the problem; it's a misunderstanding about what a CAP really is.

he's probably looking for any excuse to get NATO involved in direct combat.

No one who has even a hint of knowledge about such things sees a NFZ as a "magic force field". That's a soft insult against anyone who has different ideas about what we should be doing.

NATO anti-air assets, certainly, have the abilty to to engage cruise missiles. Not to mention the warhead of a ballistic missile during its terminal phase. Oh, and the idea that Poot'n wants to draw NATO into the conflict is comical. Almost as comical as him launching a nuclear strike in response to said conflict. Narcissists are more about self-preservation than self-sacrifice. NATO has the best trained forces in the world and equipment that actually works. Basically NATO could destroy just about everything in-theater in short order. Russia has a 40 mile long convoy sitting on a surface road that anyone can look at on the internet ferchrissakes. The kind of thing NATO equipment was built for. Call his bluff. He's a clown
