(36,055 posts)But that's what different locations and histories produce -- different people's ideas of freedom, democracy, future generations, and what's worth fighting for. When a dictatorship won't let a neighbor live and let live, the dictatorship is a danger to everyone else, too. (Which is why China's totalitarian dictatorship is so much more a danger to the world -- it lives and lets live, but instead, cuts deals and controls markets first, dictates terms later.)
