Jet Leasing Co's stuck holding a 10 Billion Dollar BAG. Russia says "the jets are now ours".

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/russia-roils-plane-backed-bonds-174656312.html

This is good stuff, newer planes... from 738, 777 to A319, 320, 321, 350...

(Bloomberg) -- Russia’s decision to block foreign owners from seizing hundreds of planes worth about $10 billion is roiling a market where aircraft leases are bundled into bonds and sold to investors.

Maybe the interest rate on these risky deals needs to be a whole lot higher.

1. Insurance. I hope they have it.
2. Spare parts (okay, technically three words). The Russians won’t be able to get them, so the planes will be grounded soon for maintenance.

No parts, no fly. Then again these parts will be available on the black market for a pretty penny.
Then again, where are they gonna fly to?? Just commuter planes within russia?
