If Georgia legal system can do this, why can't Jan 6th rioters be sentenced like this?

Taken from Macon Telegraph on 9 March 2022. This is a great news paper and I read it cover to cover every morning.
"A 31 year old man accused of blowing his coronavirus relief loan on a Pokemon card will spend the next three years in prison after he pleaded guilty to felony fraud charges in Georgia. Vinath Oudomsim was sentenced to three years in prison followed by three years of supervised release, the US Attorneys Office for the Southern District of Georgia said in a news release on Monday March 7. He was also ordered to pay $85,000 in restitution-the total value of the Economic Injury Disaster Loan he received as part of the alleged scheme..."
Apparently the Pokemon card he bought has sold in the past for as much as $369,000

He did a major crime. They were just engaging in legitimate political discourse!

Of course it's and they should all be locked up on conviction as well, and for a lot more than three years, but I'm glad to see things staring to fall into place.

Heck, I would have sold him an NFT of a jockstrap for only $50,000 BozoBucks. He got taken.

Because I think that explains part of the problem.

Slaps on the wrist for good ole white boys engaged in constructive political discourse -- pigmented person gets out of line, it's hammer time !
