(2,143 posts)Whew, there are some very disturbing images starting with the very first one. Had to look up Zoltan for the last one. The Urban Dictionary has many definitions. The most applicable seeming definition to the last entry here says, "zoltan - a phrase and hand gesture used by the geeks in bubble wrap in the movie "Dude Wheres My Car." Didn't see that movie. Do I want to?

(19,199 posts)It's not even mildly amusing. 👎 And yes, the Zoltan thing is from that movie.
Whenever I see the big Z, I think of Team Zissou from, "The Life Aquatic", a Wes Anderson classic. If you haven't seen it, I give it a definite 👍.

(19,199 posts)is the one about the gas station owners getting rich off high gas prices. Most gas station or convenience store owners, have a very small margin of markup on a gallon of gasoline. They might make 3% on gas, and that margin usually decreases with higher prices. No one gets rich selling gasoline to the consumer EXCEPT oil companies. Distributers make more than gas station/convenience store owners, and they can make a comfortable living on gasoline and fuel oil, but the real winners are always the refiners and those sucking it out of the ground.
Just my 2 cents.

(11,230 posts)I worked at a friend's Exxon station, I know very well that station owners make very little on gasoline. Much of the Income came from selling drinks and candies, and servicing vehicles and repairing tires.

(10,429 posts)It actually hurts the local station owners because people spend their money for gas and have less to spend inside the store
